Homework Club @ MacChap is a weekly program run at Macquarie Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Running 3:30-5pm during school terms in the Macquarie Chapel church halls, the two buildings just down from the main church building.
The purpose of this program is to support the learning of primary aged children, providing a constructive and supportive environment for them to get through the homework they have been assigned and to feel confident that they can do it. In providing this support, we also support the parents by aiding them in their role in guiding and supporting the learning of their children.
There are a number of tutors and leaders who are present during the afternoon to assist children with any difficulties they may have and to encourage them in their ability to do their work.
Homework Club was initially established by the Ryde Salvation Army under the leadership of Nathan Moulds and he remains part of the leadership team alongside new and old leaders from Macquarie Chapel Presbyterian Church.
